Red Thread/White Bone:
A Winter Passage
Keep the Pulse of Kinship & Remembering
Red Thread/White Bone
Together we listen to the living weave of women, ancestors, and the earth.
A rite of passage
January 12-March 16, 2026
A nine-week rite of passage process invites you to enter the deep season of becoming.
Guided by Mary Lynn Lewark and Tamara Mahoney, we move between two doorways—the quiet practice of Wintering and the mythic path of the Deer Woman. “Deer woman, digs in the rich blackness for a single bone, finally hatching, birthing her clavicle from her own chest. It is a key. There are those who have arrived not knowing if they are alive or dead in this space of in-between. Deer woman uses her clavicle key to open Bone House, a space that transects both time and life.”
Through movement, painting, story, collage, and ritual, we follow the red thread of lineage. The time will be both intimate and collective—a journey of uncovering rather than adding. Revealing what the soul has held beneath its skin as we embrace the gestational dark before rebirth. Each week we will be exploring cycles of descent, discovery, and revelation with the practices of movement, visual art and story.
MOVEMENT explorations as excavation and discovery—feeling into weight, breath, and instinct stored in muscle and bone.
VISUAL ART of painting and collage as way to revelation—to documenting one’s learning, pulling images from under layers, scraping, washing, re-emerging through texture and pigment.
STORY as a path of circle gathering, nurturing a collective reverence of both the mythic and earthbound nature of time.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
In certain times in life we awaken to a deeper sense of ourselves, stumbling upon our own truth. Perhaps you are in recovery, transitioning a life change or on the threshold of stepping into a deeply held dream. Maybe you are feeling all three at once. Sometimes we need a moment to become, to be held, to remember and collect the best part of ourselves. Wholeness and certainty emerge as we delve into creation, movement and community unfolding one’s authentic story.
We welcome chatting with you about this process. Let’s set up a time for a cup of tea.
