about the table
about the table…
so my friend Shea found it in thrift store, we danced on it with Wendy, Alicia, and then another friend Sabin finished it and there are stories carved in it from other people who sat at the table before me, etching dreams and names, things needed to be made permanent in the wood and now it sits at threshold of Moovment House where friends and colleagues, neighbors and strangers come to move and create, and the children trace the edges of the lines with their tiny fingers and wonder what story will we tell today…
It is symbolic of the open invitation and a celebration of a dream coming to life…
As I reflect on these last months of the fall session my heart is filled with gratitude. The bounty set on the table says it all. These are the remnants and reminders of what has taken place here these last months. Everyone, no matter how old you are or how experienced, you have contributed here. Each person’s presence is important. You matter. I often say that to the classes as we close, because being here makes a difference and our circle and class is not the same unless you are in it. Each person brings a kind of courage and inspiration that helps us all along.
I am moved by everyone and your curious nature to connect, move, be moved and dream. I am spreading that joy as we complete our final weeks of dance before Thanksgiving. I celebrate growth, learning and connection.
I also warmly invite you to this weekend too...
Two stunning and evocative female photographers Shea Kluender and Meg Koning are sharing their work and I will also be dancing.
I wonder what your story is? Wander in this Saturday… have a glass of champagne with us and let’s toast art, dance, community and dreams to come.
in circles, love & friendship,
